in the last year alone, two filipino restaurants have opened in manhattan. there was only one (kinda old and overpriced) when i first moved here, so this is awesome. plus, one of the new ones is run by a chick my age who is super cool and whose place is super trendy. they aren’t as plentiful and cheap as in cali, but i’ll take it. omg home!
